■1969年のプロトタイプカーレースシーンに登場した917は、1970年に入りワークスからレース活動を委託されたジョン・ワイヤー・オートモーティブ・エンジニアリングの手により空力面が改良され、ショートテールの917Kとして生まれ変わります。デビューした917Kは各耐久レースを圧倒的な速さで席巻し、国際メーカー選手権のチャンピオンシップを獲得、サルテサーキット24時間でも総合優勝を飾りました。当時耐久レースで最強を誇ったこの917Kの1971年Versionを、1/24スケール・フルディテールでキット化しました。
■1970年の耐久レースシーンを席巻した917Kは、1971年シーズンを迎えるにあたりいくつかのリファインがなされました。リアカウルに垂直フィンを設置、エジンンカバーにインダクションポッドを設ける等、外観上での変更が各チームで試されました。これらいくつかトライされたリファイン部分を各レース、チーム別にモデル化しました。

- The 917 was debuted in the 1969 prototype car race season, and modified by the John Wyer Automotive Engineering Ltd., by improving the aerodynamics in 1970, which was requested by Works, then the 917K with the short tail was born.The 917K was so powerful and so fast to win the endurance races, the international constructors’ championship, and the 24-hour endurance race in Circuit de la Sarthe.The strongest in endurance race at that moment, 917K (1971 version) will be the next 1/24 scale model from MFH.
- After the 917K overwhelmed the 1970 endurance race season, the machine was further refined for the preparation of the next season. There was vertical fins installed at the rear cowl, induction pots were placed on the engine cover, and various modifications of the outlook were attempted by different teams. 4 version of this kit will be available based on different teams’ refinements.

K448 - Ver.A : 1971 LM 24hours Winner [Martini International Racing Team] #22 H.Marko / G.Lennep

・1971年の LM 24hours　Raceにおいて圧勝したマルティニ・チームのマシンをモデル化。前年型からフロントカウル上部のルーバー数が増え、リアカウルに垂直フィンが設けられた仕様をモデル化しました。
- This version is based on the Martini Team model that won the Sarthe 1971 24 hours race. The number of louvers were increased in the front cowl, and the rear cowl vertical fins were installed.



K449 - Ver.B : [John Wyer Autimotive Engineering] 1971 LM 24hours #19 R.Attwood / H.Muller 1971 Monza 1,000km #1 J.Siffert / D.Bell #2 P.Rodriguez / J.Oliver

・1971年のLM 24hoursとMonza 1,000km に出走したJohn Wyer Autimotive Engineeringチームのガルフ・カラーマシンをキット化しました。フロントボンネット・カバー形状が他のチームの同マシンとは異なる仕様。
- This version is based on the machine from the John Wyer Autimotive Engineering Team with Gulf colouring, which raced the '71 Sarthe 24 hours race and the '71 Monza 1000km. The front cowl shape was totally different from other teams, and rear cowl vertical fins were installed.



K450 - Ver.C : 1971 Monza 1,000km [Martini International Racing Team] #3 V.Elford/G.Larrousse #4 H.Marko / G.Lennep

・1971 Monza 1,000kmに出場した、シルバーカラーのマルティニ・マシン。リアエンジンカバーにツイン・インダクションダクトが設けられたタイプをモデル化しました。
- This version is based on the machine from Martini which raced the 1971 Monza 1000km race. Twin induction ducts were installed at the rear engine cover, and the rear cowl vertical fins were installed.



K451 - Ver.D : 1971 Brands Hatch 1,000km [Martini International Racing Team] #8 V.Elford / B.Redman #9 G.Lennep / G.Larrousse

・シルバーカラーのマルティニ・マシン。リアカウルは1970年型と同じフィンのないタイプ。リアエンジンカバーにツイン・インダクションダクトが設けられた仕様をモデル化。
- This version based on the machine from Martini which raced the 1971 Brands Hatch 1000km race. There were no vertical fins at the back, but FRP colouring induction duct was installed at the rear engine cover.
